Screaming!

McKinna's class is doing a science project studying soil samples. McKinna, of course, waits until it is 8:30 at night to go out to get her sample from the backyard. She never wants to go alone. We were all busy so I told her to put on Ben's headlamp and get out there. Off she went, hesitantly. After about 30 seconds we hear a bloodcurdling scream. It continues for about 30 seconds while she unsuccessfully tries to open the back door. With the scream she let out Ben and I were both thinking a snake must be out there. No, it was just a baby opossum. It cracks me up the different reactions we have. I would rather stand quiet as can be and hope whatever creature it is does not see me. McKinna just lets loose and wants the world to come and rescue her. I am surprised the neighbors did not run over to see if we were killing her. It really was that bad!

SanFillippo's (Sorry, probably spelled wrong)

Whitney and Tommy came to visit with us for a few days during spring break 2011. We were soooooo excited to finally get to meet Roman. He is the cutest thing I have ever seen. I wish we could steal him. He is quite easy going and what can I say...WE ARE HAVING MAJOR ROMAN WITHDRAWLS. While they were here we went to Froberg farm.

We also spent a day in Galveston. While we were there Ben did a little photo shoot.

We also spent a day at the space center and a morning at Kemah Boardwalk. The boys also spent a few evenings out fishing. We are so glad we got to visit with them. We miss you Roman.

Journey

My baby has grown like a weed lately. She had a growth spurt and put on some height. She has also come out of her shell lately. She has become very friendly with everyone. The bad part is she wanders around and visits with everyone everywhere (at the store, at restaurants, at church). It was so much easier when she was shy and would stay with me. Her are some updated pictures of her. My neighbor Nancy loves her and made her a summer wardrobe (these outfits are a small sampling of what she made for her). I made her some hair accessories to go with the outfits.

Slippers

I am lucky to have a super cool grandma who can crotchet anything. My dolls always had cute crotched clothes and I had my super warm slippers. Now my own kids get to have these same experiences. They love their slippers. We have tons of tile in our house so they get to slip and slide throughout. McKade has me put his on over his footed jammies to sleep at night. I LOVE IT! Thanks for making these grandma.
