SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!! disclaimer: not about church

Last Saturday (I know the title says Sunday) Bodin and I went to MONSTER JAM to cheer on our favorite monster truck Grave Digger!! We had really good seats and could feel the Monster Truck engines rattle our bones! Bodin kept pointing out that people were wearing Grave Digger shirts and he wanted one really bad. I told Bodin he couldn't have one because they were pretty expensive and I could buy him the same shirt at Walmart for half that price. Bodin was having none of that! He put on his best pouty face and puppy dog eyes and.... well you see the picture. It was a great time with Grave Digger winning both the race and free style events! Thanks for the fun bonding time Bodin!

Happy New Year 2011

We were invited to a New Years Party with some friends. We had some good fun playing games until midnight and then heading outside for a countdown and some sparkling cider. We welcome you 2011, let's make it a great one with lots more memories.

Dear Brie

This is a letter I just found in McKinna's writing folder. This starts way too early. I am scared for what is to come...

Dear Aunt Brie, I just want you to know how much I want to see you, Landon, Gunner, and Van. (Jason is mysteriously missing here:0).You need to know that you are the best aunt I will ever have. You have always been the best aunt and I want to talk to you. But can you please get me a phone. What if I got lost while visiting you? How would you ever find me? Yes, you can call me, but there is one problem. I don't have a phone. What if I was coming to visit and my moms phone was dead? (Not mine, that never happens. She knows me too well.) How would we tell you that we were coming? So can you please get me a phone?
Sincerely, McKinna

Well, at least she knew not to write this letter to me. I am sure that when her favorite Aunt Brie tells her no, she will move on to her favorite Aunt Sarah, then Whitney, Sonia, etc. until she thinks she can guilt one of those favorite aunts into buying her a phone. Oh, here we go...

Christmas 2010

First of all we had to get our Santa pics. We went to a very fun breakfast with Santa at the church. Surprisingly not one of the kids cried for Santa. Journey thought about it, but just ended up looking rather unsure of herself. McKade loves Santa, he is still talking about him constantly. Christmas itself came and went to fast. The kids actually slept in until about 7:00. We then opened presents, which of course the kids loved them all. McKade was sick on Christmas Day. Some virus had been traveling through our family and McKade was down and out for the day. He did not want to play at all. We ended up staying home all day because of this. Oh well, you win some and you lose some.
