Mardi Gras 2012

I must say the kids were pretty successful, and we even left early to beat the crowds getting out of Galveston. We did not forget McKinna she is spending the 3 day week-end at a friends cabin. She will have to blog about it when she gets home.

Sewing, Probably NOT

I had my sewing machine out the other day, fixing the waists on Journey's summer shorts. (I always have to take them in). As I walked by it, I noticed a little note for me. I thought it was cute. I actually pulled out my trusty hot glue gun to fix his bracelet. That is my go to tool!

Love the Humidity

Okay, the only reason I can say that is because I love what it does to Journey's hair. It actually gets some curl in it. I am trying to see the positive side of all things!

Calling CPS?

About a month ago we had to move Journey into her own bed. You see, as soon as we potty trained her, she came up with a ploy to try to get out of bed at night. When we would put her down she would start yelling to us, "Mom, (or Dad) I need to poop!" When this did not work she decided that she would get naked and yell to us. This still did not work so she decided that she needed to do more. At this point, she started yelling at us, getting naked, and climbing out of bed and bringing her clothes to us letting us know she needed to poop! Just for the record she did not need to go. We decided that this was pretty unsafe and converted her crib to a bed. She is actually staying in it better, but she rolled out the other night which left the huge bruised goose egg on her noggin. The next night she decided she would put herself in the bathtub and slipped and hit her eye on the tile on the side of the tub. I swear we do not beat her, she takes care of that all by herself!

Puddle Jumpers

We have FINALLY been getting some much needed rain, and who can resist jumping in the puddles! However, with these storms, I will admit that I knew we were moving into Hurricane terriory coming to Texas. I had no idea we would also be getting so many Tornado warnings, with some of them touching down fairly close to us. SCARY!
