McKade is FOUR!

Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday that my little boy was born. He told me yesterday that when he woke up today that he would be too big for me to pick up, since he would be four in the morning. I had to give it a try this morning, and yes he was heavier, but never to big to pick up. He is our funny little guy. He is a spitfire, and is great at comebacks. He is a sweetheart, though he will also blow up in an instant. (Quite a bit like his father really). He recently started daycare and he really likes it. He came home last week schooling all of us on what a newt was. He really loves to learn. Grandma Tana was able to come last week and took him out to McDonalds, and Chic-Fil-A for his birthday. She also took him to his ultimate request for his birthday which was to go to Buccees and get a soda. We did that again yesterday for him. He opened his presents early this morning and got BeyWheels (which he was been begging for), lego toys, a remote control car, the RED Ninja (he has also been begging for that one), and some Thomas trains (which Journey has decided are really hers). I sure love my McKade. He keeps life interesting (As a disclaimer, he was not in his P.J.'s all day, just when I happened to be taking pictures).
This picture is hard to see on here, but it is a drawing McKade did of our family the other day with his name written on it. His drawings are sooo cute, and his writing is coming along. He is very proud of it, and it is all done in his favorite color...RED.

McKade starts soccer

Soccer season has once again begun and is overtaking our lives. McKade is now playing as well as Bodin. McKade jumped right in there the first practice with no hesitation, however he does run up and down the field clueless. He is more interested at smiling at everyone and anyone that is watching him. When he does get a kick in he stops to look at you, gives you a huge smile, and then continues with what he was doing. That smile is worth every penny of soccer season. He loves it, and we are hoping he gets a little more aggressive as the season continues.

McKade is always making comments that crack me up. He told me the other day that he wants to be a dad. Me: Why? McKade: So I can sit in the front seat and eat lots of gum. As he was taking a bath I told him to make sure and get is shoulders, and back. He told me he did and he was washing his knee-bo's. I am glad he has elbows and knee-bo's. The boy comes in my room on Sunday morning as we get ready for church and declares, "Bodin called me a butthead! Is that a bad word?" I let him know that is not a word we say and I am going to talk to Bodin about it. He then gets a smirk on his face and says, "Okay, I called Bodin the butthead." At least he fessed up, but really to come and get your brother in trouble for something you did. Shame on you!

First Day of School

I can't believe they are this old. McKinna started 5th grade this year, her last year in elementary school. Bodin started 3rd. It does not seem possible. Bodin has a male teacher, Mr. Tomci this year. He is super excited about that.
And off they go...

Photo Day

Landons Birthday

We love that we get to spend Landon's and Brie's birthdays with them every year. This year Jason was a trooper and took the boys fishing, his dad was a trooper too and went with him. Ben was suppose to go, but do to some bad weather got stuck in Atlanta doing a work meeting. Us girls, went shopping and out to lunch for Brie's birthday. It was a rather nice day. Now, I do not have pictures from the real birthday trip, but we did take the kids fishing another day as well. It was hotter than heck out there, but we endured until Tommy finally caught a fish and we could go. We then hit up a splash pad. It was a nice day until Van slipped and gave himself a rather enormously huge goose egg on the back of his head. It is so bad, that he now has a bad spot from it. Poor guy!
Landon had a birthday party down at the park, which got a little crazy as a monsoon was blowing in. Much fun was to be had though.

New Babies

We got to meet some new cousins while we were in AZ. First up was Zev. Isn't he handsome.
We then got to meet Sophie. Whitney and Tommy were nice enough to bless here while we were there. Thank you. She is a doll!
We were even lucky enough for Claire to make her arrival while we were in town. She is also a doll.
