Good luck little (big) brother!

Tyler is officially in the United States Navy!! He left for Boot camp on 01/20/09 and I couldn’t be prouder. All we need now is for someone to join the Air Force and Coast Guard (do they count?) and our family will have had someone in all the branches of the Military. My dad is retired ARMY, I was in the MARINES for eight years, and now Ty is in the NAVY.

I am very proud of my service and still wish I was in (kind of ;). You have a different sense of pride for our country when you actually have to defend it, not that I was in Afghanistan or Iraq but I was slotted to go and would have gone willingly if I was not injured (still injured). I know what it is like to be away from your family for long periods of time and it is not fun. My hats off to you Ty, good luck and God speed!

You might ask why the USMC symbol is bigger than the NAVY symbol when the Marine Corps is a department of the Navy. The answer is simple my friends, We are the MENS department of the NAVY!! (actuallly it just came out that way)

Bodin loves his little brother!

Bodin is always willing to help with McKade even if it means a shoulder ride!! He is a good brother always trying to keep McKade entertained when we have to put him down to get things done. McKade is really starting to fill out some and finally has the baby double chin but I wouldn’t call him average size just yet. Hey, I was always a small kid… um teenager… um man… leave me alone!!!

Give me an M... Give me a C... Give me a K.....

McKinna’s cheer class has come and gone and I am glad!! I will never let her go to that school again. I won’t get into details but at least she halfway enjoyed it and she got a medal out of it.

Ch, Ch, Ch, CHIA

Shani wanted a CHI flat iron for her hair so I got her one for Christmas but I also bought her a Chia pet and that is what she opened up on Christmas morning. I would show you the picture but I think she would kill me, and ya, she was very excited for the chia pet!! Well she wanted me to take the Chia back but I refused and told her it was a gift from me to her. So Shani let the kids help put the seeds on Shreks head and I think he needs Rogaine because it is not coming in on top!! And yes, he’s got exceptional nose hair!!

Sherman and Ben..or.. Bodin and Sutton??

Well, three days down of watching McKade and Bodin and no deaths, that is a good thing. McKade does pretty good, just like to be held…. but who doesn’t, who doesn’t!! Oh well. Bodin, McKade and I had Sutton over and I took some pics (ya, big surprise) and when I downloaded them I didn’t know if they were of Sherman and I or Bodin and Sutton! They are like peas and carrots!!

Getting there

I went to put pajamas on McKade the other night and the weirdest thing happened…. They didn’t fit?? What, the midget boy is growing? One small step for the Cobbs, one giant step for McKade kind! Shani took him to the doctors a couple of days ago and he came in at 8lbs 6oz, almost three months old and finally weighs as much as a newborn!

You go boy!

Zoo Day

We did a Zoo trip before school started back up. It was perfect weather for the walkabout and I got a good pic of the kids. I even got a pic of a couple of monkeys on a ram!!
